WITCHY WORKSHOP 1.1.1 by DEERBELL Witchy Workshop is a physics-based puzzle game where you help solve the Red Bean Witch’s puzzles as her dog, Choco. You probably know this because you downloaded it. We hope you like solving the puzzles. This is a demo release and in an early stage of development, and carries no warranty. We may discontinue development at our discretion. Thanks for playing! @kemonologic & @cicadian == DISCLAIMERS == *** If you paid money for this game, request a refund from the seller and let us know immediately at deerbell@deerbell.games. This release is FREE and donations are accepted through Itch, not another site. *** If you downloaded this game from somewhere other than itch.io or deerbell.games, please also let us know. We're okay with being mirrored, but we'd like to know! If you receive a crash that starts with "FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation", please update DirectX here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 On startup, you may receive a message from your firewall asking for access to the Internet. Witchy Workshop attempts, on startup, to connect to the Internet to do a check for updates. This is because if we continue to develop Witchy Workshop, we want people to know if newer versions (or puzzle packs) are available rather than assuming this is the final game. Though your IP may show up in our server logs (like any other website you visit), we do not collect any data from you - all checks are done on your computer. If you want to disable update-checking, uncheck "Update Check" in Settings, set NETWORK_UPDATE_CHECK to 0 in wwsettings.ini, or deny Witchy Workshop access in your firewall. == CONTACT == If you want to report a bug or contact us for any reason, our contact information is: Twitter: @DeerbellGames Discord: https://discord.gg/KTURFnz Email: For bugs: bugs@deerbell.games For everything else: deerbell@deerbell.games If you're reporting a bug, *please* attach debuglog.txt, log.txt, and wwsettings.ini, which can be found in C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME HERE\AppData\Local\WitchyWorkshop. We may not be able to track it down otherwise! == KNOWN ISSUES == Witchy Workshop makes heavy use of the Box2d physics engine integrated with GMS. Some issues we were able to work around such as broken gear joints, flush wall dynamic object hitching & inconsistent collision normals, while others persist. If you have any insight into good fixes for the below issues we're open to feedback! -Polygonal physics objects may change rotation and velocity suddenly in a self-righting move when colliding on a single vertex against slopes, which are static chain fixtures (ex: dropping a book onto a sloped wall causes the book to fall over and then stand back up). -Objects that fall straight down onto the point where two walls meet will occasionally be imparted with a small bit of angular velocity (ex: jellycore bouncing to the side when hitting a wall at a 90 degree angle). -Dynamic circle fixture objects (ex: boulders) that land on top of any type of stationary circle fixture object will stack indefinitely until some other force is applied (ex: stacking balls neatly, something nearly impossible in real life). == CREDITS == @kemonologic Programming, design, web dev, UX, thaumaturgy @cicadian Art, programming, music, puzzle design, system design, Hell Megan (@ChieGuevara) Nice dog Grace (@gart_gh) Additional music - Mansion - Gondola - Inferno - Distant Egg Eldraev (@Eldraev) Additional art == SPECIAL THANKS == @Foone for the hardware donation @BeamSplashX for the generous financial contribution @_t3nshi, @jordizzle: contributions @FluffyBunnyPixl, @hazyterra, @zoeytrope, @swonqi: testing Paul Eres Derek Yu SoulTie Toby Fox Yumi Matsutoya Brian Luzietti Thanks to all our friends, fans and family for making this possible. == ADDL.
